Transformed from a stressed mom to an inspired mom!
"My TSH levels have reduced from 5 to 2.2 and I haven't taken thyroid medication for a year now", says Sarita listing her health achievements.
"Apart from losing 14 kg of weight and 5 inches around my waist, my hair fall and back pain has also reduced!" she says excitedly. "I'm back to my karate training".
But that wasn't the case a few months back.
Being a mom of two and staying in a joint family, it wasn't easy for Sarita to prioritize her health.
While she beautifully took care of her family in the 7 years of her marriage, her health took a toll. She was detected with hypothyroidism.
She knew it was time she had to do something and approached a WQ coach for help.
"One of the major challenges in a joint family is that you can't prepare a separate meal for yourself", recalls Sarita, "and that's where most of my earlier efforts had failed".
With her kids' morning classes and evening tuitions during lockdown, finding 1-2 hours for herself to focus on exercise was not an easy task.
But her coach helped her to modify her exercise routine and taught her intensity of exercise, a balanced and nutritious diet and focus on the right cookware.
