Pain Free Athlete (In Tamil)
Veera is based out of Trichy and is a Medical Representative by profession. From his childhood days, he was very passionate about sports especially cricket. As with any sports injuries are common, one day while playing cricket, he suffered an injury in his left hip joint.
Initially, he didn’t pay much attention to the injury and the associated pain and kept on playing. Over the course of next 45 days, the pain started spreading to adjoining areas of the hip joint and eventually his knee started troubling him a lot. It was then that he decided it’s time to consult a doctor.
As per the doctor’s recommendation, Veera went on a medicine and physiotherapy treatment combo along with 2-3 months of complete rest. Post that, he enthusiastically commenced his playing schedule but the pain relapsed.
After visiting multiple doctors over the course of next 1 year and taking similar kind of treatment, he realized that the medicines being prescribed are just painkillers! Obviously, he continued to face occasional pain and there was no permanent relief in sight.
Due to the various movement restrictions, ban to lift any kind of weights at home and pain during daily routine activities, Veera’s life at 20 years of age started seeming to be of 60 years. His family was emotionally shattered by what’s happened and the bleak future in store for Veera.
At this point in time, Veera fortunately got connected to a coach who is a part of Wellness Quotient community through one of his friend. Although, in the beginning, he was not very enthusiastic about trying a new way of treatment again, but finally he chose to give it a shot. After following the strict regimen of diet and natural supplementation, Veera was able to see significant improvement in his condition within a span of just 10 days. His energy levels were back to normal and his pain considerably reduced in about a months time!
Veera is extremely grateful to the WQ community which helped him regain his confidence and more importantly, helped him get back into a normal life schedule again.
